We are pleased to share that Roberta Brambilla has received the prestigious Outstanding Graduate Program Director of the Year Award 2026 by the University of Miami Graduate School.

A Professor and Program Director of the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Miami, Dr. Brambilla has been leading, since 2023, a dynamic training and research environment that spans multiple campuses and departments, supporting over 100 faculty members and more than 40 PhD and MD/PhD students.

This recognition highlights not only her academic leadership, but also her ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and world-class training environment for the next generation of neuroscientists. Under her direction, the program has continued to strengthen interdisciplinary training and promote high-impact scientific collaborations.

In commenting on the award, Dr. Brambilla emphasized that this achievement reflects a collective effort, crediting the “exceptional students, faculty, and staff” who inspire and shape the program every day.

This accomplishment is also a source of pride for the Italian scientific community abroad, underscoring the significant contributions of Italian researchers within the global academic landscape.
