Are you an Italian researcher currently working in the United States in agriculture, forestry, or fisheries?
The OECD Co-operative Research Programme (CRP) offers Research Fellowships for scientists who would like to conduct a 6- to 26-week research project abroad in another CRP participating country.
The fellowships aim to strengthen the international exchange of ideas and increase international mobility and cooperation among scientists working in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
2027 Call for Applications Now Open
The Co-operative Research Programme’s call for applications for research fellowship grants in 2027 is now OPEN.
Application deadline: Thursday, September 10, 2026, at midnight Paris time.
General Information
Applicants must be residents of one of the countries participating in the Co-operative Research Programme.
The United States and Italy are both participating countries in the Programme.
Please note:
- Türkiye will remain a CRP member until December 24, 2026, but will not participate in the 2027 call for events and fellowships.
- Brazil and Ukraine became CRP members in July 2026 and are eligible for the 2027 fellowship call.
Applicants are encouraged to review the Guidelines and Conditions, Selection Criteria, and CRP Action Areas before preparing their application.
Research Areas
Applications relevant to the work of the OECD Committee for Agriculture and other bodies are particularly welcome, including:
- Sustainable and resilient productivity growth, food security, and nutrition
- Climate risks, reducing emissions from agriculture and food systems, and carbon sequestration in agriculture, forestry, and land use
- Halting and reversing forest loss and land degradation
- Reducing the negative environmental impacts of livestock production and practices harmful to animal health and welfare, while investigating the positive contribution livestock can make to soil quality and management, biodiversity, and livelihoods
- Biodiversity and enhancing ecosystem services
- Improving soil health and water and air quality, including through agroecological and other innovative, context-specific approaches
- Innovations in the transfer and development of agricultural knowledge, including Indigenous and traditional knowledge
- Fisheries and aquaculture productivity, sustainability, and resilience
