The Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ettore Francesco Sequi, presents the upgraded websites of the diplomatic and consular network in the word

Today, the Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ettore Francesco Sequi, presented the new websites of the diplomatic and consular network in the world, after an upgrade in the functions, graphic design, and machine-user interface.

The new portals offer citizens and companies immediate access, are structured with additional pages, video and photo galleries, displaying easy to navigate news and events. Users will be able to consult the new sites through any device: PC, laptop, tablet, and smartphones. “The portals of the diplomatic and consular network – said Ambassador Sequi in the launch video – are our digital calling card: they are the first virtual point of contact with many Italian citizens and companies, and foreign citizens. Italians living abroad turn to the Farnesina for information, services, and assistance. The renewed graphic design, functions, and contents assure topmost accessibility and performance, thus projecting an image of a dynamic modern Country also to foreign users navigating our sites.”

The Farnesina’s website network is spread worldwide: it has a total of 307 websites (128 embassies, 83 consulates, 84 Italian Cultural Institutes, 12 permanent delegations, in addition to the websites of the seven Italian State Schools located abroad) which, last year, were visited by more than 30 million users.
