On Feb. 12, 2024, starting at 09:30 a.m., the Italian Space Agency (ASI) will host the “International Day of Women and Girls in Science,” a day full of meetings and activities to overcome gender stereotypes, dedicated to female secondary school students.

The event is promoted by the Comitati Unici di Garanzia of ASI, CNR, ENEA, INAF, INFN and University of Rome Tor Vergata in collaboration with the association Women in Aerospace – WIA Europe Rome Local Group. The day is sponsored by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and is realized with the contribution of Campus X.

About International Day of Women and Girls in Science
Sponsored by the United Nations, International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to promote full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls. Women in science leaders and experts from around the world, high-level government officials, representatives of international organizations and the private sector, will discuss women leadership in achieving the three pillars of Sustainable Development, namely economic prosperity, social justice, and environmental integrity.
