Almacube, the innovation hub and business incubator of the University of Bologna and Confindustria Emilia, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Laura Toschi as its new President.
She succeeds Alessandro Grandi, whom we thank for his vision and leadership over the past years.
Laura Toschi is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum) and Deputy Director of the Executive Master in Technology & Innovation Management at Bologna Business School. She brings with her deep academic expertise and extensive international experience in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovative finance, and sustainability.
Holding a degree in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Management, Professor Toschi has enriched her academic path with research experiences at Boston University, the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), the University of Queensland, and Queensland University of Technology. Her teaching and research focus on how innovative ideas can be transformed into tangible impact, covering topics such as business planning, entrepreneurial ecosystems, venture capital, university funds, and impact investing.
Commenting on her new role, Professor Toschi stated: “Almacube’s future starts from its roots and from teamwork. We will aim to create more and more value for our region by enhancing skills and human capital. We’ll leverage these assets to drive national and international growth through partnerships built on trust, shared vision, and real impact.”
