Space: Italy’s Argotec Opens New Production Facility in Florida

Expansion onto America’s Space Coast for the Turin-based company

Argotec, a leading Italian space company, has officially inaugurated a new production facility in Melbourne, Florida, with an investment of over $25 million. The site is designed for the industrial production of small satellites (smallsats), modeled after the company’s SpacePark in Turin.

For the company led by David Avino, choosing Florida is a strategic move: the region recorded 109 launches in 2025 and has a pipeline of more than 220 aerospace projects worth $6 billion, making it a key industrial and technological hub for the U.S. space sector. Argotec’s facility is located just 40 miles from the Kennedy Space Center, offering quick access to major U.S. contractors and close proximity to smallsat programs, missions, and dual-use defense projects.

With the official inauguration of its Florida production site – already operational for some time – Argotec aims to take a major step forward in scale, transitioning from a company deeply rooted in the European market to a new industrial reference point on America’s Space Coast.
