Spaceflight Technology, Applications, and Research (STAR-7)

NASA has opened applications for the seventh cohort of the Spaceflight Technology, Applications, and Research (STAR-7) virtual training program, which focuses on technologies, applications, and scientific research supporting biological experiments in space.

The program is expected to run from September 2026 through February 2027, with weekly virtual sessions lasting approximately two hours.

The STAR program is designed to foster collaboration within the space biology community and support the entry of new researchers into the field. Participants will gain the scientific and operational knowledge needed to design, conduct, and analyze spaceflight experiments using both NASA and commercial research platforms.
