LUISS Guido Carli invites applications from external scholars and researchers for a Visiting Program in the Departments of:
- Business and Management
- Economics and Finance
- Law
- Political Science
The purpose of this program is to enhance cooperation of the LUISS faculty with members of academic and research institutions across the world.
Applicants must indicate in their application the preferred visiting period within the academic year 2018-2019 and the desired length of their stay.
Depending on the proposed nature of their visit, selected candidates will be divided under one of the following categories:
- Visiting Lecturer
- Visiting Researcher
LUISS will issue the appropriate documents for visa purposes in accordance with current laws, although each candidate shall be responsible for obtaining his/her own visa and other immigration formalities, and all other travel and related documents needed
to pursue positions at LUISS.
The available positions are assigned through a competitive selection procedure. Some slots are reserved for junior candidates (less than 8 years from Ph.D.) Preferential treatment is given to the candidates who have never held a visiting position at LUISS
(if not for specific educational needs) and to candidates who are provided with an external scholarship or their own funding.
Visiting Periods: Academic Year 2018-2019
- Fall: September 2018 – December 2018
- Spring: February 2019 – May 2019
Salary
Based on the category, the average salary is determined as follows:

| Junior: one-off payment of €1,000 plus € 3,000 per month (gross) | |
| Senior: one-off payment of €1,500 plus € 4,000 per month (gross) | |
| Visiting Researchers | |
| Junior: one-off payment of €1,000 plus € 1,000 per month (gross) | |
| Senior: one-off payment of €1,500 plus € 1,500 per month (gross) | |
The salary indicated above is intended for reference only and it may be adjusted by the academic committee. No other compensation is included: travel and living expenses are not paid for by LUISS in any case.
Timelines
- November 3, 2017: Publication of call for application
- January 16, 2018: Application deadline at 6:00 pm (Italian local time)
- May 31, 2018: publication of selection results
