We gladly share news about Pamela Fuertes-Berti, Vice President of International Economic Development of The Beacon Council and a distinguished member of the International Advisory Board of the Miami Scientific Italian Community, recipient of the prestigious distinction of Chevalier in the French Order National du Merite.

The appointment was made as recognition of her contribution to French-American economic ties and to the promotion of French culture and fashion.

Fuertes-Berti has helped lead the Council’s international economic development efforts since the year 2000. Her leadership includes coordinating international trade missions, assisting with the International Advisory Committee along with colleague and Senior Vice President for International Economic Development Mario Sacasa and representing Miami-Dade at business development trade shows. She also spearheads the Creative Design committee and the community’s efforts to expand and strengthen local creative industries. She recently returned from a mission to the Paris Air Show where the Miami-Dade Beacon Council joined Enterprise Florida, Miami-Dade County and FPL in effort to recruit global companies to Miami.

She received her honor at a formal ceremony. In becoming a Chevalier in the French Order National du Merite, Fuertes-Berti joins dignitaries such as US Army General Wesley Clark, King Juan Carlos of Spain and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as local leaders who have also been recipients of this honor.
