NanoInnovation 2023 – IPCEI: the key role of Italy in the microelectronics, digital, health and energy large-scale EU industrial research projects

NanoInnovation 2023, September 21 2023, 11:30-13:00 (hybrid event, in presence in Rome or online)

Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI) are EU large-scale industrial research initiatives, aiming to overcome important market or systemic failures in strategic value chains, to promote sustainability and competitiveness of the national and EU economy.

IPCEI are boosting the development of EU competences and manufacturing capacity on technologies with an enabling and pervasive impact in multiple industrial sectors, toward radical innovations.  They are sustained by the Ministry for Business and Made in Italy (MIMIT). On-going and approved projects deal with microelectronics and communication technologies, cloud computing, hydrogen, energy storage (batteries) and healthcare.

Italy is playing a significant role in these initiatives in terms of investments, technology development, and expected direct and indirect impact on the national economy.

Why attending the workshop?
The session will provide a unique opportunity to learn on the vision and plans of IPCEIs and their impact on the Italian R&D landscape, with testimonials from companies and research organizations (Airi members), involved in these initiatives.

Who should attend?
Companies, research organizations and universities, clusters and industrial associations, policy makers and media
